The Best Brunch Spots in Wedding, Berlin

Last updated: May 19, 2024

The district of Wedding seems to rarely make it to a Berlin breakfast list, but this really should not be the case. Typically less expensive and crowded compared to many of Berlin’s other neighborhoods, it still packs a punch in terms of quality. Here are a few I know best.

Key:

| meal & latte (or equivalent) €10 or less
€€ | meal & latte (or equivalent) €10-15
€€€ | meal & latte (or equivalent) €15+

Oeuf

Oeuf serves up delicious US American and French fusion brunch. If you like eggs, carbs, and good cheese you’ll leave here very satisfied. Indulge in their Croque-Chêvrou which comes with crunchy French bread, goat cheese, honey, chives, parsley, pickle, and béchamel sauce. Add a perfectly poached egg and go to town!

Try: Croque-Chêvrou
Reinickendorfer Str. 110 | €€-€€€

Café Pförtner

This café is located within a relaxing and cool outdoor space, and you can find even more seating inside their renovated bus which is parked outside. This place really shines in the summer and their ever changing menu, full of locally sourced ingredients, makes for a sweet visit any time of year.

Try: Daily Special
Uferstraße 8 | €€-€€€

Señorita Ploff

Café Señorita Ploff is a charming Latin American café in Wedding specializing in empanadas and cakes. The interior is filled with plants, books, natural lighting, and homey furniture, creating a charming and quaint atmosphere. Their empanadas, vegan panini, tortilla de patatas, oreo pumpkin cheesecake, orange dulce de leche cake, and vegan chocolate cake have been my favorite discoveries thus far. I also adore the tiny salsa bottles that are served with every empanada order. On weekends you can order their usual café fare or partake in their weekend brunch specials which includes Eggs Benedict, Latino Brunch, and French Toast. As for drinks you can’t go wrong with their flat whites, cappuccinos, and vanilla oat matcha lattes.

Try: Veganini Sandwich, Latino Brunch, Empanadas
Eulerstraße 9A | €-€€€

Soul of Coffee

This family run neighborhood café is home to bowls, bagels, coffee, and plenty of moreish pastries. Plus, there’s a couple nice Turkish plates like Menemen and Cilbir that I’ll have to try next time. It’s a sweet, airy, and simple café and totally a great addition to the neighborhood.

Try: Avocado Feta Egg Bagel
Reinickendorfer Straße 66 | €€

Rosa Parks Café

This unassuming café is a lovely spot for homey vibes, vegan treats, and chill vibes. They mostly serve vegetarian dishes, but have plenty of excellent fully plant-based treats including seasonal quiche and a number of cakes. On the day I visited I got to try a piquant mushroom vegan quiche and a tart raspberry cheesecake. They also serve a handful of made-to-order plates like omelettes and veggie rice bowls.

Try: Vegan Quiche
Soldiner Straße 32 | €€

MADO Berlin

MADO is a jack of all trades kind of eatery, serving a diverse range of Turkish dishes, dessert, and drinks. Their expansive menu goes on for about 50 pages with plenty of pictures to help you understand what you’re ordering. Try a few Turkish dishes at this bright café and bring a few friends to try more. I recommend the menemen, gözleme, manti, and cheese simit.

Try: Menemen
Müllerstraße 41 | €€ - €€€

Coffee Circle Café

This bright café in the heart of Wedding is a nice spot for a light brekkie. They used to offer full brunch on weekends, but on a recent visit it seems like they’re focusing more on perfecting their café dishes like cakes and sandwiches. Their veggie bun is very good! It comes with herb aioli, a veggie egg square, arugula, and caramelized onions. Let’s see if they bring full on brunch back!

Try: Veggie Bun
Lindower Straße 18 | €€

Yildiz Café & Gözleme

Yildiz is probably the closest restaurant I've found to the kind of traditional Turkish breakfast I had while in Istanbul. They're right to call themselves a breakfast paradise, plus their staff is really friendly and will help you decide your order if you haven’t had this kind of Turkish food before. There’s so much to try, but no worries if you’re not too hungry because they also have great savory breads and pastries to enjoy as well.

Try: Gözleme, Manti, Börek
Müllerstr. 133a | € - €€

Café Dreizehn

This artsy little café lures in locals with their quality focaccia, bagels, and toasties. All things bread, really. Their focaccia is especially amazing, particularly their ham, rosemary, and goat cheese variation. Yum! Don’t be fooled by their chill vibes, they’ve got really great food and coffee. The interior is on the smaller side, but additional tables are added outside in warmer months. Plus, next door you’ll find some of the best ice cream in Wedding.

Still On My List:

La Femme

This Turkish restaurant has been around in Wedding for ages. It gets mixed reviews, but I’d like to try it for myself.

Badstraße 67

Mars

Mars seems to focus on classic brunch plates like French toast and yogurt with granola. Their patio area looks just lovely too! I hope to visit sometime soon!
