The Best Vegan Cafés in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin
Last updated: October 1, 2024
There are so many vegan-friendly spots in Berlin that I can actually write posts dividing eateries up by their type. . . AND neighborhood! We are truly undeserving of Berlin’s impeccable plant-based game. Anywho, here are my favorite fully vegan cafés in Berlin’s beaming Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood. Enjoy!
All of these spots are vegetarian with plentiful vegan options, and fully vegan spots are indicated with a ‘🌱.’

EasyPeasy 🌱
This women-owned brunch spot is not just 100% vegan, it’s also fully gluten-free! Their portions are very hearty and they offer a mix of savory and sweet breakfasts. You’ll find many classic vegan breakfast dishes here like tofu scrambles, carrot lachs on toast, and acai bowls. You can even a few CBD drops to your meal if you fancy! They also have a few little cakes for sale, but I was only a fan of their NY cheesecake variation.

Brocca Café
This warm and bright café is nestled at the corner of a charming cross street in Prenzlauer Berg. You’ll find plenty of vegan options including a variety of cakes, bagels, and granola plates. Their cashew cheese and veggie bagel hit the spot, same with the carrot lox bagel. I also like their veggie and glass noodle bao bun. Prices are quite fair.
Try: Gemüse Bagel
Gleimstraße 40 | €-€€
Cafe Neue Liebe 🌱
For a colorful and nutritious meal or small plate, head on over to Cafe Neue Liebe. Their plates are balanced and delicious. Most dishes feature plenty of veggies with some unique touches like plant-based versions of egg salad or feta. If you’re feeling hungrier go for the Vegan Liebe Platter to try a little bit of everything. Or split it with a friend if you’re more in a snacky mood. Many of their plates can also be made to be gluten-free for a surcharge. They were a vegetarian café for a long time, but I do believe they are fully vegan now.

Brammibal’s Donuts 🌱
The hottest donut café in town has a location in P’Berg. It’s a smaller spot as far as Brammibal’s go, but they bake just as many donut types as their larger companions, and they’re also a solid spot for seasonal drinks.

House of Do An
House of Do An opened mid-pandemic, but they've quickly grown in popularity in the neighborhood. They're fully vegetarian with many vegan options and serve a mix of Vietnamese and Western breakfast plates. Great if you want a healthy start to the day!
Try: Banh Mi VN Sandwich (not in traditional bread, but made with amazing seitan)
Hufelandstraße 20 | €€
Froindlichst 🌱
Froindlichst is home to sweet cakes, full breakfast plates, and yummy lunches — all vegan. They offer plates like full English breakfasts, breakfast burgers, chickpea omelettes, and French toast. I’ve tried their Brettfest plate before which offers a little bit of a few of their popular dishes and it was overall okay, I enjoy their lunch plates more though. It’s a bit of a pricier spot, but worth visiting at least once. I’d love to revisit and try their breakfast burger at some point!

Nothaft Café
This café has a mix of toasties, pastries, and open-faced sandwiches. During the weekday they’re a bustling laptop-friendly café and over the weekend it warms up into a cozy café, perfect for catch-ups and coffee.

Schönhauser Allee 43A | €-€€
Trivitys 🌱
Although not quite in Prenzlauer Berg, Trivitys is located in Pankow, just two stops away from U Schönhauser Allee. Trivitys is a hugely underrated café, and amazing for health-conscious or dietary-restricted individuals. Or those who just want to try something new! Their café is fully vegan, gluten-free, and sugar-free. Despite their restrictions, they still manage to be very tasty.
This warm café serves up items like raw cakes and superfood drinks. My favorite food they offer is their nut-based cheeses. Go for their mixed cheese plate to sample their nutty slices and/or try their avocado toast which comes with homemade bread, avocado, cashew cream cheese, cashew parmesan, sprouts, and red beet horseradish chutney. I love how creative they are with their dishes and the result is honestly impressive. Their savory waffle dishes are also quite yummy!

Prince Peach 🌱
I have yet to visit Prince Peach, but I want to include them because they’ve set up shop in the space that once was home to one of Berlin’s best vegan cafés, Plant Base (which sadly closed its doors in September 2024). Not only are they in their space, but they’ve chosen to go the route of having a fully plant-based menu. Plus, they’ve even adopted some of Plant Base’s recipes like their iconic scrambled tofu bagels. With all this in mind, they’re sure to be great. I’m looking forward to visiting them soon and giving them a try!
